March's Manga Haul

I thought I bought a lot, but once I took the picture, they turned out quite little for the amount of money I’ve spent. OTL But anyway, time to show off~!

Anthologies! On the left the almost last volume of Edith, Edith 5A, I heard 5B is coming out this month, don’t quote me on this. Middle, that male crossdressing anthology, Syrup [bitter]. Going to review this if I have the time. And finally Canna vol 11, bought it for the sake of that 6 page manga Minazuki Akira drew and also her cover!!

Top: Konya no Yotei, Doudeshou, Boku no Ano Ko, Cold Sleep
Bottom: Neko no Me no Horoscope, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi ~Onodera Ritsu no Baai~ Vol 05, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi ~Yoshino Chiaki no Baai~ Vol 04, Neko no Yomeiri (ITS SO CUTEEEEE)

Top: Seven, Mizu no Kioku, Touzandou Tentsui Ibun, Koi wa Keiyaku no Atode
Bottom: Tenohira no Seiza, Aoi Sora ga Areba Soredeii, End Game Vol 02 and Saiyaku wa Boku wo Sukisugiru Vol 01

Finally, vol 01 – 04 of Demian Syndrome!! Reading raw’s fine and all but nothing beats having the books!

  1. D: Well I ordered about 17 titles this month from BK1!~ Gonna grab more for May, especially for books I haven't order yet >__< Last order for the year before I have to move :(

  2. I have like 40+ in my to buy list, gonna cut them down to about 15~20? Yea, lease's coming to an end by June, time to move :D! I'm moving every year, it's such a hassle.

  3. Sheesh! These must cost a fortune! At least you won't have to pay overseas shipping costs and VAT like I do, but still, so many books. I want them all! And here I have my first manga book from Amazon on its way. Well, I also have a "how to learn Japanese through manga" type of book as well, so I'm hoping to buy the manga books in Japanese in the future. I decided to try to study the language this summer instead of using University courses because I really should stick to my main subject there (English and maybe a little Icelandic since I'm writing Icelandic novels now as well).Anyway! Have fun reading those!!

  4. LOL, my shipping cost is almost the same price as the book…. :( So it's like I'm paying almost double the price for books in Japan when I buy online. But at least they don't charge us tax here in Cali. :D!Good luck with your Japanese studies! Hope you'll have fun with them!Thank you! Enjoying them as we speak <3

  5. So many BL manga. *__* Purty. xDI need to start collecting Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi manga. I love it, but never seen that one in stores, only Totally Captivated, Junjou Romantica, and various others that I can't remember. I always have to dig around for the BL titles, I think book stores purposely do this, lol. Or the ones I am at. o_O Always feel like a pervert when I'm trying to find it and people ask for help, they never seem to really want to look for a BL manga. *sigh*But I'm guessing you buy some of your manga online?

  6. Yea O_O! Come to think of it, my last non-BL purchase was the latest 07-ghost manga, back in January. XD If you're looking for English version of Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi, it's not out yet. In fact, I think with the latest closure of Tokyopop, I doubt we'd be getting that any time soon. :( Unless Blu becomes a company of its own…? I don't know…Weird that they don't want to help you with your books. No wonder bookstores are closing left and right with the crappy customer service =.=Yeah, if I can't wait for Kinokuniya to bring the books in, I'll order them online. XD!

  7. I just got my first purchased manga in the mail today! Yay! Okay, so it's in English, but it's a start. I also got my "Japanese the Manga Way" as well and since I just handed in my last assignment, I'm school-free. That means I can start learning Japanese ^.^ Okay, I have a question for you. Yaoi novels. What are those? Like, written books or picture books? I'm asking because I saw a series by Takanaga Hinako (author is Katsura Izumi) called "The Guilty" that I've never seen online. Do you think it's just text with Takanaga's drawing on the front page?

  8. Yay! <3 It's like Christmas all over again! Yaoi novels are novels, text with about 10 pages of illustrations if you're lucky. :D They're usually classified as light novels though since they're not hard to read (simple and direct Japanese) like normal novels are.

  9. I see ^.^ Thank you for that. Definitely something I'll save until I know some Japanese instead of buying it in English. I'll probably buy the SiH novels before anything else though once I'm at that level (yes, that self-study book looks absolutely terrifying next to my computer, but I WILL do this and I will succeed!).
