Happy New Year 2012! Review of 2011

Happy New Year everybody!! To start the new year, let me reminiscence and review last year.

I am very thankful to have the chance to meet the awesome Shu who became a very close friend of mine and that we’re able to chat with each other every single day about nothing at all.

I am very proud of my little scanlation group, Echochi and I hope we’ll continue to grow or at least, maintain the pace this year. Thank you so much to my lovely staff and readers who’s been supporting the group.

I am glad my little blog as finally moved towards a direction, I guess? I think I’ve reviewed more titles in 2011 than in 2010. Hopefully I’ll manage a review once a week this year. Not going to put that into my new year resolution though… XD

Met a lot of awesome people online, thanks to Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi even though my love for the series is waning, it’s the people in the fandom that’s causing me to hang onto it. You guys know who you are!

  1. HAPPY NEW YEAR AGAIN, CHEEZY~♥ xD I am glad to have met you~♥ Although, we don’t talk much and I’m a little bit of a social retard even online LOL but it was fun meeting you and talking to you in chats and twitter o/ hnngghhh

May you have a great year this year and may you finish your thesis soon and may you have more money and get more BL and share it with us 8D 8D 8D /shot/

Also thank you and your staffs so much for Echochi~ life has never been the same after Echochi came about~ *cough*

    May you stay awesome as always~ >w<~♥ /skips off/

    • HAPPY NEW YEAR MICHIIKA!! Bah, you’re not socially retarted, I think we chat more on twitter than anywhere else though. :D

  2. Happy New Year! Ahem, resolution (3) is kinda hard to do. The temptation! The temptation!

Jia you for the thesis, by the way. ^^

    • Hey Julia~ HAPPY NEW YEAR! Lol, I think I just need to find raws online for point 3 if I don’t want to spend money. It’s tempting to own them though *o*

      Thank you!

  3. O_O your New Year’s Resolutions look like they’re very possible (if we don’t procrastinate on anything) Also, maintaining at least 8 hours of sleep will be the toughest goal of all… especially when you have a thesis to complete~ I hope to help you complete goal #5! Good luck this year!!!

    • Yeah, I only write the ones that I think it’s possible. The 8 hours of sleep resolution’s possible too but, I wish I’d sleep at normal hours. Thanks for helping out with #5! Lets work hard this year and hopefully more people will join us :D

  4. Happy new year !!!!

I wish you all the best for 2012 and… I didn’t forget about the X-mas card but it’ll probably be more of a New Year card.
I spent a very lazy winter break (enjoying manga scans and Doctor Who) and I haven’t send any cards yet. x_x

      • Not really on topic but by curiosity, are you planning to write something about Seishun Hanashinjuu by Kawai Hideki ?
I recently realised the first ch. has been scanlated in english (loved it) Then, found the vol.1 in chinese (which I don’t understand) And I’m now feeling really confuse and curious about this manga. Mostly because I don’t speak chinese and also, the characters. Boyfriend!Yoshimura look quite different (personnality) from friend!Yoshimura who rejected him in middle school so I didn’t understand if it was the same person or not. And I’ve got the same trouble for Yamazaki-senpai. The one who appears at the beginning is (ugly) easy-going while in middle school he looks hot and more difficult to approach. e_e

So… If one day you’ve got time to make a quick review about this title, I’ll love you forever.
Seriously, I don’t understand a thing about this manga but I love the art and I hope to see more soon. (Though I’m afraid to be a bit sad about the ending… I’d like to root for Yamazaki-senpai/Takenaka -they look great together in middle school- but Kawai-sensei and I have rarely the same fav’ pairings)

        • Hey nayung! For you, I’ll write that now. :D Just need to find my book. I really love how the story develops for Seishun Hanashinjuu but the ending for v1 makes me wanna flip my table. ;-; It does not end with a pretty cliffhanger!
